South Park gears up for Season 2

The 1998-1999 season of the controversial crudely animated South Park will come to DVD this spring from Warner Brothers Home Video with results pretty similar to the first set.

Promised a resolution to the first season cliffhanger asking “Who is Cartman’s Father?” the viewers of the beginning of the second season were instead witness to a half-hour fictional teledrama entitled Terrance and Phillip: Not Without My Anus. The reaction was less than gleeful. The rest of the season continued in a normal fashion including more than a fair share of deaths for poor Kenny.

The second season set will be pretty similar to the first set. Presented in fullscreen, each episode will have Dolby Surround 2.0 tracks, but like the first set, no commentaries. The set will however contain a making-of documentary, a music video, and TV spots for each episode.
