Final info on Black Hwak Down

The elaborate three disc set of the Ridley Scott film Black Hawk Down is finally ready to go from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment. Here are the details.

The first disc will contain the film in the traditional anamorphic widescreen transfer with audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. Audio commentaries feature the vocal contributions of Mark Bowden and screenwriter Ken Nolan and veterans of the U.S. Special Forces. Disc two includes the documentary “The Essence of Combat: Making Black Hawk Down”, eight deleted scenes, a production gallery, storyboards with commentary, something called “Ridleygrams” which also feature a commentary, an exploration of the opening title sequence, still galleries and a photo album. Disc three contains the television specials “The History Channel Presents: The True Story of Black Hawk Down” and “PBS Presents: Frontline: Ambush in Mogadishu”, an interactive mission map/timeline, the “Target Building Insertion” multi-angle sequence with optional commentary, question and answer sessions with Ridley Scott, Jerry Bruckheimer and actors Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, Jason Isaac, Mark Bowden and Tom Matthews, a Editor’s Guild tribute to Pietro Scalia, an American Cinematheque session with Bruckheimer and Scott, the Gortoz A Ran – J’Attends music video, a poster gallery and theatrical trailers.

Certainly a hefty set, the three disc box will be available on June 3rd with a suggested retail price of $39.95.
