The Golem

Kino Video’s recent restoration of the 1920 German silent classic “The Golem” contains some exciting Easter Eggs.

From the disc’s Main Menu, go to “Special Features” and then select the menu entry “Creation.” Once there, highlight “The Film” and press the “Left” arrow key on your remote control to see a short clip of an alternate Creation scene.

When you return to the “Creation” menu, highlight “The Novel” and then press the “Left” arrow key on your remote control to see the trailer from the original “Frankenstein.”

A third hidden feature can be found if you highlight the “Start Film” menu entry in the Main Menu. Then, press the “Up” arrow key to see a promo for the upcoming Kino release of Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis.”
