Strawberry Shortcake will be making her debut on DVD this spring, but not as previously reported. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will be updating the popular icon of the 1980s with a 21st Century makeover. Following in the footsteps of her contemporaries He-Man and The Transformers, the new Shortcake will premiere with here own cartoon series early in 2003 which will be the basis for the new DVDs. No news for fans of the original cartoons, but if the new series gains in popularity, the old shows just might show up sooner or later.
