You are now entering the complete Twilight Zone
No more messing around. Relative newcomer to the DVD game Another Universe will be releasing the classic television series The Twilight Zone to DVD. Considering the number of existing Twilight Zone DVDs already on the market with very good quality, this would hardly be news if the series wasn’t being released in its entirety as a single 49 disc set.
Hosted and created by Rod Serling and starring a wide range of now-famous guest actors, the Twilight Zone was first released by CBS in 1959, and won 3 Emmy awards in 1960 and 1961. Twilight Zone was canceled after 5 seasons, but has enjoyed constant syndication every since, from regular weekly broadcasts to weekend-long marathon shows. Starring actors such as Robert Redford, Cliff Robertson, Robert Duvall, Dennis Hopper, Burt Reynolds and almost the entire cast of the original Star Trek in various episodes.
Limited to 2500 sets, the Collectors Edition of Twilight Zone includes two limited edition Gold Logo Slipcases, 5 bonus disks, the entire 5 season 156 episodes on 44 DVDs and includes two episodes not previously available. Those episodes are “The Eye of the Beholder” (episode 42) and “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” (episode 142). The unprecedented five bonus discs will contain the documentary “Inside The Twilight Zone”, including information on Rod Serling, a history of the series, reviews of each episode, cast information and a season-by-season commentary.
Available now, the collectors set carries a retail price of $399.99.
