Not the financial success it was hoped to be, the metaphor Simone, struck quite a chord with its small following in its exposure of what really lies behind fame. Now the film will be coming as a fairly decent set from New Line Home Entertainment.
When a producer is put on the spot to complete his latest film, he is unable to find a suitable replacement for his actress and must turn to the digital realm. But as his creation’s fame takes off, he must admit to the world and himself what her fame is truly based on.
The new disc will contain both fullscreen and anamorphic widescreen versions of the film as well as audio in Dolby Digital EX and DTS ES. One would think New Line was fresh out of special features after the Lord of the Rings Uber-Set, but the DVD is quite nicely bundled with the featurettes “Cyber Stardom” and “Simulating Simone”. A theatrical trailer and DVD-ROM content will also be included.
The digital actress will hit the digital format on January 21st with a suggested retail price of $26.95.
