Fox bows X-Men 1.5 in February with a slew of new features

It has been talked about for a long time and at long last it will make its debut. On February 11, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will release a new Collector’s Edition of Brian Singer’s Marvel comic adaptation entitled X-Men 1.5 to bridge the time for the theatrical release of “X-Men 2.”

This new 2-disc set will contain an Enhanced Viewing Mode re-inserting 6 originally Deleted Scenes into the film. 17 Behind-the-scenes Featurettes will also be included as well as a new Commentary Track by director Brian Singer.

The second disc of the set will be chock-full of extras, such as an Introduction by the director, The Uncanny Suspects, a featurette on the casting of the film, and a featurette dedicated to the costumes of the movie entitled The Look Of The X-Men. The Special Effects Of The X-Men is another featurette found here together with a Storyboard-to-Animatic-to-Film Comparison and a retrospective featurette called Reflection of the X-Men. The DVD will also include Exclusive Movie Premiere Footage from Ellis Island and around the world as well as a number of Multi-Angle Scene Studies. This Collector’s Edition will be rounded out by a Still Photo Gallery, 3 Theatrical Trailers, 14 TV Spots, 12 Web Interstitials, and a Sneak Preview X-Men 2 Teaser.

The movie will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, of course, and feature audio tracks in 5,1 channel Dolby Digital and DTS.

Hold on to your hats when X-Men 1.5 will be in stores on February 11 at a suggested retail price of $26.98!
