Columbia TriStar makes a Dead Reckoning early next year.

Humphrey Bogart jumps on the noir bandwagon in the 1947 suspense thriller Dead Reckonging. Columbia TriStar revisists the film in January with a new DVD release.

Rip Murdock and Johnny Drake are Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, en route to Washington, D.C. by train. Drake hops off and disappears, leading Murdock on a hectic manhunt. Upon meeting Drake’s former girlfriend Coral Chandler , Murdock is thrown into a maelstrom of intrigue involving a crooked gambler and a complex blackmailing scheme. Soon Murdock finds himself the prime suspect in a murder. The genuine culprit is revealed shortly before the spectacular car-crash finale.

Presented in its original fullscreen ratio, the DVD will present the audio in Dolby Surround. A still gallery will also be included on the disc.

With a suggested retail price of $24.95, the new disc will arrive on January 14th.
