Universal reveals The Bourne Identity

The recent thriller remake The Bourne Identity failed to spark at the box office, but now the film is given new life on DVD from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

Based loosely on the Robert Ludlum novel, a man washes onto the beach, bullet ridden and deficient of memory. Clues to his existence start filling in the puzzle, but not before the man realizes his life is in danger.

Two separate releases will hit stores, an anamorphic widescreen and a fullscreen version. Both will contain audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 as well as an audio commentary by director Doug Liman and star Matt Damon. Deleted scenes and an alternate ending with commentary, a Spotlight on Location featurette, the Moby “Extreme Ways” music video, the trailer, and DVD-ROM content will also be included.

Arriving on January 21st, the DVD will have a suggested retail price of $26.95.
