On Paramount Home Entertainment’s Collector’s Edition of “Star Trek III: The Search For Spock” the studio has hidden an extra featurette,

Insert the second disc of the set and from the Main Menu select “The Star Trek Universe.” There, highlight the “Main Menu” menu entry and then press the “Right” arrow key on your remote control. This will highlight a section of the background landscape. Now press “Enter” and you will be treated to a 7-minute featurette with Ken Ralston the movie’s Supervisor of Visual Effects as he shows off how they did such creature effects as the Klingon dog and the evolved microbes from Spock’s tomb that attack Lloyd’s character.
