John Waters gets a new box set

Boy, New Line sure does love their John Waters collections. It seems that just about every combination of Waters films has a box set, and the new release of Hairspray adds a new element to the mix. Coming in November is the Ultimate John Waters Collection.

The set includes: Pink Flamingos (1972) – Sleaze queen Divine, her mad hippie son Crackers and her 250-pound mother Edie battle with a couple, all for the chance to be known as the filthiest people alive. Female Trouble (1975) – The life story of Dawn Davenport, showing her journey from a pleasant schoolgirl to crazed mass murderer. Desparate Living (1977) – Two sisters-in-crime hide out in a safehaven for Baltimore’s most unsavory citizens. Polyester (1993) – A housewife’s unhappy life changes for the better when she meets handsome Todd Tomorrow. Hairspray (1988) – In a dance show, good Tracy Turnblad battles for the dancing queen. Pecker (1998) – A photographer becomes an overnight sensation when the art world embraces his photos of Baltimore’s underground.

Coming on November 5th, the same day as the “Hairspray” individual release, the set will be priced as $92.92.
