Of the many version of Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas tale, perhaps the best is the 1951 British version. Alastair Sim stars in A Christmas Carol coming to DVD this holiday season as both a regular and special edition.

Both versions of the film will be presented in the films original fullscreen ration in mono. The regular edition, will actually have a few features of note, including an introduction by Patrick Macnee, cast bios and the animated short Rudolph, the Red Nose Reindeer.

The special edition will actually not contain any extra supplemental material, but will also present a colorized version of the film, for whatever reason.

Coming on November 5th, the regular and special edition will be priced at $14.95 and $19.95 respectively.
