The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys comes to DVD

Like many independent films, The Dangerous Life of Altar Boys is still now spreading across the country. But the film has been in theatres for some time now and will be coming to DVD from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment this fall.

“The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys” is a dark comedy about a rebellious group of eighth grade boys at a Savannah Catholic school. When the boys get caught drawing an obscene comic book featuring priests and nuns having sex, they avenge a daring prank on their ultra strict teacher, nasty peg-legged nun Sister Assumpta (Jodie Foster), in hopes of becoming local legends.

Presented in anamorphic widescreen, the disc will contain a director’s commentary, deleted scenes, a collection of animated scenes with optional commentary, cast and crew interviews, an episode of the Sundance Channel program “Anatomy of a Scene”, production notes, animation illustrations, theatrical trailers and TV Spots, filmographies and weblinks.

When the disc arrives on November 5th, it will carry a suggested retail price of $27.96.
