In perhaps the shortest theatrical release to video release window, Buena Vista Home Entertainment has announced the DVD release of this summer’s animated film Lilo & Stitch.

When Lilo, a headstrong Hawaiian girl starts losing faith in her family, a new pet seems to hold the answers to keeping the family together. But when the pet turns out to be an intergalactic fugitive, things get a little out of hand.

At this point, there are no specific details concerning the upcoming release. Several special features have been created for the DVD, but there is currently no news as to what they are or whether there will be two separate releases (a regular and special edition release) as the last few Disney films have had.

What is known is that the film will come to DVD on December 3rd. Just in time for holiday shopping.
