Christopher Guest sees The Big Picture

Christopher Guest has delighted film audiences for years with his filmed lampoons of the entertainment industry that have been filled with uncanny realism and improvised oddity. The man who has satirized Rock and Roll, Theatre, and even Dog Shows now turns his camera around to offer The Big Picture a send up of the film industry itself.

Nick, whose student film wins an award from the prestigious National Film Institute. Almost overnight, Nick finds himself swimming with sharks in Hollywood, where he’s seduced by manic agents, power-happy producers and an irresistibly quirky friend. But as always, the industry is not as glamorous to Nick as he would have believed it to be.

The film, which is presented in both anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen is accompanied by a running audio commentary with Christopher Guest and Kevin Bacon. Also included are filmographies, deleted scenes, production notes and a theatrical trailer.

Coming on October 8th from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment, the film will be available for $24.95.
