The X-Files marches on to Season 6
The television series that set the precedent for television shows on DVD is returning with a new season box set. The X-Files: The Complete Sixth Season will join its predecessors this October courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
The third act of the X-Files Story arc begins here. Mulder and Scully have been reassigned two separate offices in the FBI while The X-Files in put in the care of agents Spender and Fowley. That doesn’t stop Fox and Dana from working together whenever possible to uncover the truth, and a young boy named Gibson Price may hold all of the answers they’ve been looking for. In the end, Mulder finds a truth that may drive him to madness.
Like all the previous season sets, Season Six will contain all twenty-two episodes from the season, this time in anamorphic widescreen. The extras will pick up where previous sets left off with the featurette “The Truth About Season 6”, drbrtsl deleted scenes, all the television spots, international clips, more “Behind the Truth” shorts and a DVD-ROM game that will most likely be confusing and not work properly.
Priced at a hefty $149.99, the sixth season will arrive on October 15th, jumping the gun on the usual November dates for even numbered seasons.
