For all of you who have been desperately for Paramount Home Entertainment to open their vaults and release their beloved music and dance movies will finally be served. Scheduled for September and October releases, the studios is finally releasing films such as Grease – as announced earlier in this report – Flashdance, Footloose, Saturday Night Fever, Staying Alive and Urban Cowboy!

While Grease will be released on September 17, the remaining films will all hit the streets on October 8. The DVD release of Saturday Night Fever will feature a Commentary Track by director John Badham, but all the other films will be bare-bones releases with only trailers as supplements. Really makes you wonder what took Paramount so long to get them out the door, but I guess what counts is that they are finally on their way!
