That’s right, MGM Home Entertainment has turned its eye to the recent trend of nostalgia towards eighties children’s fare and has thrown its hat into the ring with the release of Care Bears: The Movie.

A stark contrast to the other after school cartoon – turned movies of the day, Care Bears had not a single killer robot, but instead featured the Bears who leave their cloud home in Care-A-Lot to try and teach earthlings how to share their feelings of love and caring for each other. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but certainly popular with the girl crowd in its day who didn’t share the love of He-Man or Transformers with their male counterparts.

As is usually the case with MGM standard releases, the film will bear no special features whatsoever.

Arriving on August 6th, The Care Bears will share their unconditional love, for only $14.95.
