In just over 40 days and another 40 nights, Buena Vista Home Entertainment will release the odd Lent-based comedy 40 Days and 40 Nights to DVD.

After a bitter break-up, Matt Sullivan decides to test himself by swearing to remain celibate, including self-gratification, for the 40 days of Lent. After taking his vow, he meets the girl of his dreams and to complicate matters even further, his ex-girlfriend schemes to seduce him into breaking his promise.

No features are available yet on the upcoming release, but the disc will hit shelves on September 17th and carry a suggested retail price of $29.99.
