New info on Pulp Fiction

More specs have arrived on the upcoming special edition of Pulp Fiction coming this summer. While not as extensive as some may have hoped, the set comes with some nice treats for fans of the film.

“Pulp Fiction” follows the action-packed adventures and misadventures of two hitmen as they recover their boss“ secret briefcase from some punks in a business deal gone bad, track down the boxer who fixed a big money fight, take the boss” wife out on a date that will not be soon forgotten, and almost become victims themselves of a holdup while having breakfast at the local coffee shop.

The film will be presented with audio in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby 2.0 Surround and will for the first time in region one carry an anamorphic widescreen transfer which will be a welcome change for owners of the exsisting DVDs. Although the disc does not carry the much hoped for audio commentary, the two-disc set will contain a behind the scenes featurette, deleted scenes with an introduction from director Quentin Tarantino as seen on the previous Canadian release. Trailers, new interviews, DVD ROM content and a trivia game will also be included on the set.

Still scheduled for an August 20th release, the special edition will have a suggested retail price of $29.99.
