Columbia TriStar issues The Lost Command

The time of year has come again when studios begin releasing their war epics. Columbia TriStar has thrown in their hat with the classic battle film The Lost Command.

Anthony Quinn plays Lt. Col. Pierre Raspeguy, a fighter determined to be a hero at any cost. After the French army meets with humiliating defeat in Indochina, Raspeguy is relieved of his command. He gets a second chance at proving himself when he is assigned to a post in Algeria. Raspeguy’s new battalion is a ragtag unit, but is forced to prove themselves fit for battle when an Arab terrorist begins a rampage aimed at removing the French from Algeria.

The upcoming disc has been awarded a new anamorphic widescreen transfer and the original Dolby 2.0 audio track. The disc will also contain theatrical trailers.

A June 25th release date has been set for the film at a suggested retail price of $24.95. Preorder the DVD now at our own DVD Review Store for only $16.22 and save over $8!
