Charlotte Gray is coming from Warner

Among the big releases coming from Warner Brothers Home Entertainment, a smaller special edition is going to sneak into the mix. Charlotte Gray is coming in July.

Charlotte Gray’s World War II asisgnment could be the first of many. Or her fatal last. The people she meets could be friends. Or insidious traiters. Trained to be an undercover courier for England, Charlotte straps on a parachute and falls from the sky into Vichy France. There she will assist the French Resistance in its defiance of Nazi occupation. Only one of of three couriers will return home.

The special edition DVD will be home to the film in anamorphic widescreen and with audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 and will feature an audio commentary with director Gillian Armstrong, two behind-the-scenes featurettes: A Village Revisits History, shot on location, and Living Through Wartime, a discussion of the Charlotte Gray character with Blanchett and Armstrong. A theatrical trailer will also be included.

“Charlotte Gray ” will street on July 9th with a suggested retail price of $26.98. It is available for pre-order now at the DVD Review Store for $18.89.
