Transformers arrive

The age old battle between Autobots and Decepticons comes home when Warner Music releases the entire first season of the original eighties cartoon Transformers this spring.

Earth is the battleground, control of the Universe is the prize, and the only defense is an army of Autobots able to transform into massive fighting machines as powerful as their enemy – the deadly Decepticons. The complete first season set contains all 16 episodes: More than Meets the Eye Part 1, More than Meets the Eye Part 2, More than Meets the Eye Part 3, Transport to Oblivion, Roll for It, Divide and Conquer, Fire In the Sky, SOS Dinobots, Fire On the Mountain, War of the Dinobots, The Ultimate Doom Part 1, The Ultimate Doom Part 2, The Ultimate Doom Part 3, Countdown to Extinction, A Plague of Insecticons and Heavy Metal War

All episodes are presented in their original fullscreen ratio with remixed Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. The season is available on three discs carrying five episodes each (six episodes on the third volume). The volumes are available separately or together in a boxed set that comes with an exclusive fourth DVD of extras. The fourth episode contains outtakes and anomalies, the Japanese “Transformers” show opening bumpers, Japanese bumpers, the script from the episode “Transport to Oblivion” and “A Taste of Botcon” – highlights from the 2001 Transformers Convention.

Available on April 23rd, the individual volumes will be available for $29.95 each. The box set will carry a $59.95 suggested retail price.
