Universal plays a Spy Game

Brad Pitt and Robert Redford teamed up last fall for the first time in the action spy film Spy Game. Now, Universal Studios Home Video is getting the film ready for a DVD release in April.

CIA operative Nathan Muir is about to retire when he receives that bad news. His friend and follower Tom Bishop has been caught in China. As Muir begins his unconventional rescue mission he remembers his first encounter with the younger agent and the interesting relationship they’ve shared.

Two separate releases are coming for the film. An anamorphic widescreen transfer will be on one version, while the other will contain a pan and scan version. Both will have audio available in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 and will carry the same features including an audio commentary by director Tony Scott, behind-the-scenes footage, deleted scenes and DVD-ROM content.

Both priced at $26.95, the two versions of the film will be available on April 9th.
