The word is in on Mulholland Drive

Universal Studios Home Entertainment is finally ready to release David Lynch’s newest entry into the film world, the dark drama Mulholland Drive. The DVD is due in April.

Two beautiful women are caught up in a lethally twisted mystery and ensnared in an equally dangerous web of erotic passion. When a woman known only as Rita loses her memory in a car accident, she enlists the aid of a stranger named Betty to track down not only her identity, but what exactly transpired that night on Mulholland Drive.

Like many Lynch DVDs, the disc will be relatively light on features adhering to the director’s belief that over-analysis takes the gestalt out of a film. The disc is however presented in anamorphic widescreen and contains both Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 tracks. Lovers of supplements won’t be completely disappointed as the disc comes with production notes, cast and crew filmographies and a theatrical trailer.

“Mulholland Drive” arrives with a suggested retail price of $32.98 on April 9th.
