Simpsons Season Two is coming from Fox

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is finally ready to release the second season of the long running animated series The Simpsons this summer.

Unlike the first season, the second season of the Simpson family follies was a full season with twenty-two episodes. As the animation and writing improved, the show came into focus with the first Halloween special, the introduction of the three eyed fish, and Homer’s epic attempt to leap Springfield Gorge on a skateboard.

The first DVD box set was near perfect, so why mess with it. The second season follows suit. Each episode will be presented in its original fullscreen ratio with remixed audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. Each episode will feature an audio commentary from various writers, producers and directors from the series. Also included will be an interview with Matt Groening, a continuation of the featurette from season one, an Emmy Awards report, still galleries, and promos. Also several hidden features have been promised.

Coming on June 4th, the set will carry a suggested retail price of $49.99. You can pick it up for $39.96 at Shop in Digital.
