Warner travels the globe with two classic comedies

Feel the need to visit exotic locales? If you don’t have the time to
travel, check out two globetrotting comedy favorites from Warner
Brothers Home Video
. Joe Versus The Volcano and
National Lampoon’s European Vacation are both coming in April of this
year.

A surrealistic fairytale, “Joe versus the Volcano” tells the story of
Joe Bank, a man who finds himself with an incurable disease and a chance
to spend his remaining days living like a king in the topical heat. The
catch – he must end his reign by diving into a volcano. On his journey
to volcanic destiny, Joe learns many things and falls in love and
finally must make some decisions far greater than he expected.

The new DVD comes with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and
audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 and its original Dolby
Surround
. Also included are a behind-the-scenes featurette,
Eric Burton Sixteen Tons music video, cast
filmographies and a theatrical trailer.
The Griswolds up the ante when they decide to travel again. After their
chaotic trip across America to visit Wally World, the family decides
this year to travel across the pond to taste European culture. But
between English driving, French fashion and German law, Clark Griswold
and Europe may end up destroying each other.

Unlike previous “Vacation releases”, “European Vacation” will come with
a new anamorphic widescreen transfer. Also included will be a
running audio commentary by the Griswolds themselves; Chevy
Chase
and Beverly D’Angelo. Cast filmographies and a
theatrical trailer will round out the disc.

Both DVDs will hit shelves on April 2nd, 2002.
