Universal visits The Last Castle

Universal Studios Home Video is preparing a new DVD for last year’s suspenseful prison film The Last Castle Robert Redford and James Gandolfini go head to head in the film coming to home video in March.

General Irwin has been court-martialed and sent to the maximum security prison run by Colonel Winter, the hard-nosed warden who can’t help but respect his newest inmate. That respect turns coldly to anger when the two strong-willed men are at odds on every issue until Irwin organizes his fellow inmates into an army to take over the prison.

Coming with an anamorphic transfer of its exceptionally wide 2.40:1 presentation. Audio will be available in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1. The DVD will feature a director’s commentary, “HBO’s First Look” featurette, deleted footage, a theatrical trailer and cast/crew biographies.

Coming on March 5th, “Last Castle” will carry a suggested retail price of $26.99.
