Now that Baz Luhrmann’s “Moulin Rouge” has brought home the Golden Globe, his first film is making its debut on DVD. Strictly Ballroom is getting the special edition treatment this spring from Buena Vista Home Entertainment.
“Strictly Ballroom” is the magical story of a championship ballroom dancer who, with his ugly duckling dancing partner breaks all the rules of ballroom dancing. Together they make their dreams come true.

Dolby Digital 5.1 sound and an anamorphic widescreen transfer will be featured for the film. The disc will also include an audio commentary with director Baz Luhrmann, production designer Catherine Martin and choreographer John “Cha Cha” O’Connell, a “Samba to Slow Fox” dancing featurette, the documentary that inspired “Strictly Ballroom”, a deleted scene and a 3D gallery.

On March 19th “Strictly Ballroom” will show up for $29.99.
