Columbia enters the Haiku Tunnel

“There are no haikus

or tunnels in this movie.

Watch it anyway.”

Despite little to no involvement with haikus or tunnels, the bizarre comedy Haiku Tunnel is a compelling story. Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment is preparing to release the film on DVD early next year.

When young, funny temp worker Josh Kornbluth accepts an offer to go “perm” at a popular San Francisco law office, his carefully unstructured, ambivalent, commitment- phobic lifestyle begins to unravel. Unable to complete the simple task of mailing 17 high-priority letters for his boss, Josh suddenly finds himself face-to face with his unusually chipper co-workers and his inability to deal! Soon, when Josh’s morning alarm rings, it’s time for him to get up – and `fess up.

A Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Surround 2.0 track will accompany the anamorphic widescreen transfer on the new DVD. Viewers looking for other audio options can check out the audio commentary with directors Jacob and Josh Kornbluth. Other specials include deleted scenes, outtakes, theatrical trailers, filmographies and production notes.

Arriving on February 26th, “Haiku Tunnel” will have a $29.95 retail.
