MTV’s Daria gets her first movie

Paramount Home Entertainment is preparing the first movie based on the MTV cartoon “Daria”. Daria: Is It Fall Yet?, which originally premiered on television last year is coming to DVD this winter.

Daria’s first MTV original full-length movie ever. Daria debuted in March 1997 and remains one of MTV’s most popular shows. Daria, best known as “Beavis and Butt-head’s” only female friend, makes her first movie. An animated half-hour sitcom about the experiences of a teenage girl who’s a little too smart and a little too funny to fit in. Featuring the voices of Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and MTV’s Carson Daly.

Shown in its original fullscreen format with Dolby Surround sound, the DVD will feature two bonus episodes from the television series; “Fire!” and “Dye! Dye! My Darling”. Also included is the music video “Freakin Friends” from the fictional band Mystic Sprial.

Daria’s first film will be available for $19.99 and will come to video on the fifteenth of January.
