Columbia TriStar brings you some Glitter

Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment has just announced details about the upcoming DVD release of Mariah Carry’s screen debut, Glitter.

Set in 1982, Glitter tells the story of Billie Frank, whose drug
and alcohol addicted mother loses custody of her when she’s 10 years old. Billie grows up in a foster home in one of the toughest neighborhoods in New York City where she meets Julian Dice (Beesley), an energetic, irresistible “bad boy” nightclub DJ who soon becomes her partner and lover.

With Dice, she begins an exciting but often volatile and precarious journey as she struggles through both her personal and professional life, the roller coaster ride to superstardom.

The film will be presented in an anamorphic widescreen and a fullscreen version on the disc with 5.1 channel Dolby Digital and Dolby Surround audio tracks. It will also contain a Commentary Track by director Vondie Curtis Hall and two Music Videos by Mariah Carey. Trailers and Filmographeis will round out the release.

Will Mariah’s acting be better than her singing? You be the judge when “Glitter” hits DVD on January 15 at a suggested retail price of $27.96.
