Universal prepares DVDs for the Fast and the Furious

The high adrenaline race film that sparked the box office is coming to DVD. Vin Diesel leeds the cast of Fast and the Furious coming from Universal Studios Home Video.

Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) drives the streets of L.A. as if he owns them. As far as his crew is concerned, he does. The races are street theater, tribal gathering and battlefield, fuelled by adrenaline and out-of-control speed. Brian (Paul Walker) is ready to test the limits. He seeks Dominic’s approval. After a blazing encounter with ruthless Johnny Tran (Rick Yune), Dominic decides Brian is all right. Dominic’s sister Mia (Jordana Brewster) likes what she sees, too. The thing is, they don’t know he’s a cop. Brian is under cover, investigating a series of big-rig hijackings. Dominic and Johnny are both suspects. As the rivalry between Dominic’s and Johnny Tran’s crews escalates, Brian’s bonds with Dom and Mia deepen. But he’s still a cop and as the pressure to wrap up the hijacking case intensifies, Brian must decide where his loyalties lie and what hislimits really are.

The feature packed DVD comes with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and soundtracks in 5.1 DTS, 5.1 Dolby Digital and Dolby Surround, Additional features include an audio commentary with the director, a making of, deleted footage with optional director commentary, a multi-angle stunt sequence a music video and the theatrical trailer. $26.98 is the suggested retail price for the film that will roar to DVD on January 2nd of next year.
