The Long Gray Line comes from Columbia TriStar

Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment is preparing the classic John Ford military drama The Long Gray Line for a release early next year. The film starring Maureen O’Hara and Tyrone Power will be available in January.

Newly arrived in America, Marty Maher’s (Power) first job was as a waiter at West Point. Clumsy and boisterous, he quickly broke so much of the military academy’s china that he was forced to join the army to repay his debts. But once enlisted, the rough-and-ready Dubliner served his adopted nation with rare dedication, establishing himself as an inspirational coach at West Point. Spanning fifty years and two world wars, the film shows Maher at his best, molding and motivating the young men who would become America’s heroes and presidents.

Presented in both anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen, “The Long Gray Line” is light on features but does feature a theatrical trailer.

Coming to disc for the first time on January 2nd, the classic Ford film will be available for a suggested list price of $29.95.
