More Superbit titles on the way from Columbia

Receiving positive response on the initial batch of Superbit titles, Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment has decided to move forward by adding more catalog titles to the Superbit lineup. The Francis Ford Coppola’s adaptation of the classic vampire tale Bram Stoker’s Dracula and the near-future tale of Gattaca are next on the lineup.

In “Bram Stoker’s Dracula”, Francis Ford Coppola returns to the original source of the Dracula myth, and from that gothic romance, he creates a modern masterpiece. Gary Oldman’s metamorphosis as Dracula – who grows from old to young, from man to beast – is nothing short of amazing. Winona Ryder brings equal intensity to the role of a young beauty who becomes the object of Dracula’s devastating desire. Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins co-stars as the famed doctor who dares to believe in Dracula, and then dares to confront him.

Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, Alan Arkin and Jude Law star in this engrossing sci-fi thriller about an all-too-human man who dares to defy a system obsessed with genetic perfection. Hawke stars as Vincent, an “In-Valid,” who assumes the identity of a member of the genetic elite to pursue his goal of traveling into space with the Gattaca Aerospace Corporation. However, a week before his mission, a murder marks Vincent as a suspect. With a relentless investigator in pursuit and the colleague he has fallen in love with beginning to suspect his deception, Vincent’s dreams steadily unravel.

Both films will be presented in anamorphic widescreen with audio presentations in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS. Of course the very nature of Superbit titles precludes any extra features in favor of the highest video quality possible.

Both titles will be available on December 11, and carry a suggested retail price of $27.96. Both titles are welcome additions to the superb Superbit lineup.
