Columbia presents Brother

Acclaimed Japanese director Takeshi Kitano’s high speed action thriller Brother is on its way to DVD from the folks at Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

A yakuza gangster is exiled to Los Angeles after his crime boss is murdered in a Tokyo gang war. Arriving in L.A. with a big bag of money and a really bad attitude, he hooks up with his half-brother, the leader of a small-time drug ring. Together with a local street hustler, the brothers declare war on the other local drug traffickers and ignite the bloodiest, dirtiest, nastiest power struggle the mean streets of L.A. have ever seen.

Presented in anamorphic widescreen, “Brother” will receive Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtracks in both English and its original Japanese with optional English subtitles. A Dolby 2-Channel track is also included. The DVD will feature a theatrical trailer.

Coming on January 2nd, “Brother” carries a suggested retail price of $24.95.
