Showtime’s recent miniseries A Girl Thing received a very warm reception from fans and critics alike. The multi-part series featured an impressive cast including Kate Capshaw, Stockard Channing, Rebecca De Mornay, Mia Farrow, Linda Hamilton, Glenne Headly, Allison Janney, Elle Macpherson, Camryn Manheim, Lynn Whitfield, Peta Wilson, Scott Bakula and others. For those who missed the series, or want to add it to their video libraries, Showtime is preparing the title for a DVD release this autumn.

“A Girl Thing” consists of four separate stories featuring women dealing with life’s unexpected twists and turns. As the individual stories unfold, each of the women seeks advice from Psychiatrist Dr. Beth Noonan (Stockard Channing). Facing her own personal struggles, Dr. Noonan assists each of the women in making successful transitions in their lives.

The upcoming DVD will contain the four hour series in its original widescreen aspect ratio and a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track. Also included will be interviews with and filmographies for the film’s stars.

Coming on November 6th, “A Girl Thing” will carry a suggested retail price of $24.98.
