Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment recently teamed up with the Starz! network to produce the original action adventure film The Breed. The film did well and is on its way to a new DVD from Columbia.

FBI Agent Steven Grant (Bokeem Woodbine) is reluctantly assigned to track a renegade bloodsucker that is bent on exposing a government plan to integrate vampires into society. Along with his new partner, “good” vampire cop Aaron Grey (Adrian Paul), Grant follows the clues and the bodies to the lair of the stunningly beautiful Lucy (Bai Ling). Trusting any vampire is difficult for Grant but when he finds himself falling for Lucy and her exotic charms, the line between the good guys and the bad guys begin to blur and his next move could be his last.

The new DVD contains both a fullscreen and widescreen version of the film enhanced for 16×9 televisions. The audio will be presented in both Dolby Surround and Dolby Digital 5.1. An audio commentary will be included which features the director and members of the cast. The DVD will also contain theatrical trailers and filmographies.

“The Breed” comes on November 13th. The suggested retail price will be $24.95.
