DVD has been very good to Civil War films, and Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment plans to continue that trend with a new three disc special edition of the six and a half hour epic miniseries The Blue and the Gray this fall.

Gregory Peck, Stacy Keach and Geraldine Page lead a star-studded cast in this sweeping Civil War saga. Filmed entirely on location with 160 characters and over 6,300 extras, this powerful epic reconstructs America’s most tragic era, when families and nation were divided between North and South.

“The Blue and the Gray” will be presented with digitally remastered audio and video in its original televised fullscreen and mono. Clocking in at 381 minutes, the set will be bereft of features in order to maximize the quality of the transfer.

On November 6th, “The Blue and the Gray” will be available to own with a suggested retail price of $27.95.
