The upcoming November release of “Star Trek: The Motion Picture – Director’s Edition” will complete the film series. In addition to the individual release of the disc, Paramount Home Entertainment will release the film in two separate box sets with other films from the Trek franchise.

Star Trek: The Original Crew Movie Collection will contain the first six films of the series featuring Kirk, Spock, and the gang; “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”, “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”, “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock”, “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home”, “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier” and “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country”. The second box set, Star Trek: The Motion Pictures DVD Collection will contain all nine films including those from the first box set and the most recent three films “Star Trek: Generations”, “Star Trek: First Contact” and “Star Trek: Insurrection” featuring the “Next Generation” cast. The latter three films are currently available in the “Star Trek: The Next Generation Movie Collection”.

The box sets, like individual release of “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” will be available on November 6th. The six DVD set will be priced at $179.94 and the full film series will be available for $269.91
