Monty Python’s Jabberwocky hits DVD this fall

As mentioned earlier on this site, Monty Python’s, fantasy romp based on Lewis Carroll’s poem, Jabberwocky is coming to DVD this fall from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

After the death of his father the young cooper “Dennis Cooper” goes to town where he has to pass several adventures. The town and the whole kingdom is threatened by a terrible monster called “Jabberwocky”. Will Dennis make his fortune? Is anyone brave enough to defeat the monster?

The new DVD from Columbia will feature the film with a new anamorphic widescreen transfer with Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Surround audio tracks that have been completely new created. Many parts of the audio track have been re-recorded, including many sound effects and parts of the narration by Michael Palin. An audio commentary will be provided by both director Terry Gilliam and the film’s star Michael Palin. Also included will by sketch to screen comparisons, a poster and photo gallery, and the original theatrical trailer.

Available to own on October 23rd, “Jabberwocky” will carry a suggested retail price of $24.95.
