Image Entertainment and House Of Blues team up for concert DVDs

Image Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq:DISK) and House of Blues Entertainment Inc., today announced the September 11 release of two programs Live From House of Blues’ on DVD.

A favorite party group for more than 25 years, Kool and the Gang has produced a long string of fun and funky classics such as “Jungle Boogie,” “Open Sesame,” “Ladies Night,” “Get Down On It” and “Celebration.” Their compositions have become staples in American music and can be found on hit soundtracks from films like “Rocky,” “Saturday Night Fever” and “Pulp Fiction.” Kool and the Gang’s sizzling stage presence can be felt in this high-energy concert recorded at Chicago’s House of Blues. The DVD includes DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound and a band documentary.

In the 1980s Chuck D brought together DJ Terminator X, Flava Flav, Professor Griff and the rest of the Bomb Squad to form Public Enemy and redefine rap. With a focus on political and social themes, the group quickly earned a reputation as music’s most incendiary group. This House of Blues Sunset Strip concert is full of Public Enemy’s biggest hits including, “911 is a Joke,” “Don’t Believe the Hype,” “Rebel Without a Pause” and “Fight the Power.” The DVD includes DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, band documentary, behind the scenes footage, select audio track commentary with Chuck D and more.
