Bill and Ted – It’s about time
Keanu Reeves, star of the cyber-hit “The Matrix”, has been praised, reviled, and discussed by millions of Americans. But one thing is certain, Keanu Reeves was Ted. And Alex Winter was Bill. And together they became the slackers by which all other slackers would be measured. MGM Entertainment is preparing not only the original Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, but the otherworldly sequel Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey as well.
Bill S. Preston, Esquire and Ted “Theodore” Logan. Together they are Wyld Stallions! And in the future, they will not only become the greatest rock band the world has ever known, but will turn the world into a utopian society filled with corn-dogs and mini-golf. But in the present, they’re in serious trouble with the past. Because if they can’t remember that Caesar wasn’t a salad-dressing-dude, they’ll fail history class, and Ted will be shipped off to military school. Of course the future couldn’t allow that. So they sent Rufus – the coolest apostle of Bill & Ted – to guide them throughout history. With the help of Napoleon, Billy the Kid, Socrates, and others, Bill & Ted secured only their knowledge of history, but their place in it as well.
By the time of “Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey”, the future had become a little too perfect for evildoer Dr. De Nomolos. The doctor tries to change history once again by sending evil robots to kill the boys. Surpsisingly, the robots succeed with very little difficulty. But death can’t keep Bill & Ted down. A challenge with the Grim Reaper, takes the duo all over the afterlife. But their journey must eventually lead back to Earth to reclaim their place as Wyld Stallions, the band that would save the future.
Both “Bill & Ted” films will come with new anamorphic widescreen transfers and audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. “Excellent Adventure” will contain the original theatrical trailer, and “Bogus Journey” will contain a behind-the-scenes featurette.
Both films will be available on December 12th and will be available for $14.95 each. Party on dudes!
