Artisan returns to Tara with a new DVD of Scarlett

Artisan Home Entertainment has decided to release the sequel to one of Hollywood’s greatest triumphs. The 1996 television miniseries Scarlett will be coming to video in the United States for the first time.

The sequel to “Gone with the Wind.” Atlanta, 1873. Scarlett is determined to win back Rhett. But when she’s caught in a compromising position, she retires to Savannah, while Rhett courts a new bride. Scarlett seeks out her O’Hara relatives. And knowing them, she goes to Ireland, where Scarlett buys the ancestral home of the O’Haras, becoming the financial and spiritual head of the family. But her newfound happiness is short-lived as disasters strike, and she must rely on Rhett’s love for her to save her from the gallows.

Presented in its original fullscreen ratio, “Scarlett” will be supplemented by a twenty-four minute behind the scenes making of featurette chronicling the development of the landmark miniseries.

Brush up on “Gone With the Wind” now. “Scarlett” is just around the corner and is scheduled for a September 18th release date. The disc will be priced at $19.98.
