On Sunday, the Discovery Channel will premiere a new thrilling dino-experience when their film When Dinosaurs Roamed America flickers over TV screens across the country. But in case you miss the broadcast, Artisan Home Entertainment already has plans for a DVD release of this brand-new 2-hour documentary in the vein of “Walking With Dinosaurs.”

Transport yourself back to the time when dinosaurs inhabited our continent and relive a fascinating 150 million years of evolution! Using state-of-the-art computer animation paired with live-action backgrounds, When Dinosaurs Roamed America incorporates the latest scientific findings to show you how dinosaurs lived and died right in our own backyard.

The film will be presented in its fullscreen aspect ratio with a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio track. The DVD will also contain two behind-the-scenes Featurettes as well as a Photo Gallery. Dinosaur Facts and a Dinosaur Quiz will round out the release.

“When Dinosaurs Roamed America” will be available on August 7 at a suggested retail price of $19.98.
