Tremors 3 is rumbling to DVD from Universal

Universal Home Video will be returning to familiar ground this fall, as it releases the second direct-to-video sequel to its popular 1990 film “Tremors”. The newest installment, Tremors 3: Back to Perfaction, will be hitting stores in October.

Burt Gummer (Michael Gross), gun-toting survivalist and veteran of the Graboid-hunting adventures of Tremors 1 and 2, returns home to Perfection, Nevada from a heroic adventure against the creatures in Argentina, only to find that things have changed in his hometown. Once overwhelmed and devastated by battles with the Graboids, most of the residents no longer take the threat of their return seriously. Instead, tourists have taken over the town and pay to go on makeshift “Graboid Tours,” complete with cheesy special effects that attempt to simulate giant worm attacks. But the apparent bucolic calm is soon broken when a phony Graboid attack turns frighteningly real and the town’s residents are suddenly faced with a terrifying reality. The Graboids have returned! To make things worse, a government team arrives declaring the Graboids an endangered species and thus protected from harm of any kind. The kicker comes when the Graboids begin mutating once again, into something far more lethal and very nearly indestructible. Is there anything that can stop these new creatures? The task seems well nigh impossible…

The upcoming DVD for “Tremors 3” will contain a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack and an anamorphic widescreen transfer. The disc will also contain talent interviews, Spotlight on Location, trailers, production notes, and cast & filmmaker bios.

Carrying a suggested retail price of $26.98, “Tremors 3: Back to Perfection” will be available on October 2nd.
