The Phantom Lover

Hidden from the naked eye, there is a hidden feature on Tai Seng’s 2-disc Special Edition release of Hong Kong director Ronny Yu’s sweeping film “The Phantom Lover.”

Insert the second disc from the set in your player and wait until the main menu comes up. Then, highlight the menu entry “Picture Gallery.” Now, hit the arrow “up” button on your remote control and the three burning windows in the opera house will be highlighted. If you press “Enter” now and you will get to see a trailer for Ronny Yu’s 1997 Hollywood debut, “Warriors Of Virtue.”
