The Special Editions of the James Bond films are arguably the most successful DVD from MGM Home Entertainment. Now Baker & Taylor, a distributor of MGM discs has penned a deal with the collectible toy company Corgi Classics to repackage the DVDs in special packaging which includes the disc and a special die-cast miniature of the appropriate car from each film. The DVD for “Goldfinger” for example will be packaged with a die-cast miniature Aston Martin DB5.

It is important to note that the DVDs themselves will not be different from previous MGM releases. The contents will be exactly the same as existing Bond discs – presumably the corrected versions where applicable. Since the agreement has just been made, no dates or prices will be available for some time but both parties are hopeful the bundle will lead to more partnerships in the future.
