Final Fantasy will make DVD bow in two separate versions

Although “Final Fantasy” is just about to start its theatrical run, plans for two separate DVD versions of the fully computer generated movie have been unveiled. According to producer Jun Aida, the film will come as a regular DVD version, as well as a special version for Playstation 2, which features additional scenes that are not part of the film. “For the PS2 DVD release, we will do some scenes using real-time rendering, where you will have the interactive ability to change the camera angles,” Aida says. “So you can sort of have your own version of the film, with your own camera positions.”

As soon as more information or a release date become available for this DVD, we will of course let you know, but for now, this information is certainly exciting news for all “Final Fantasy” fans.
