Crocodile Dundee finds a home on DVD

Despite an impressive list of film and television roles, Paul Hogan will always be known to audiences as Crocodile Dundee. The famous fictional Australian is coming to DVD this fall in two of his films; Crocodile Dundee and Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles.

“Crocodile Dundee” begins as New York reporter Sue Charleton travels to Australia to meet and interview Michael J. “Crocodile” Dundee, a man who runs a safari business and has just survived an attacked by a crocodile. After spending a few days touring the safari park, Sue invites Mick to come back with her to visit New York. How would the clash of cultures and different life style affect the Aussie bushman? How do things turn out when Sue falls for his charms?

Hollywood. Beverly Hills. Swimming pools. Movie Stars. These are the perils that Paul Hogan faces in “Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles.” Hogan stars once again as the beloved Mick “Crocodile” Dundee, while Linda Kozlowski returns as his partner Sue Charleton in this third installment of the widely popular comedy series that takes the unsuspecting adventurer into the wilds of Southern California. Accompanying Mick and Sue this time is their young son, Mikey.

Both films will be arrive with fresh anamorphic widescreen transfers. The latter film will contain a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track, while the original film is presented in its native Dolby Stereo. Sadly, neither film is overly feature-laden. Both discs will contain a theatrical trailer and “Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles” will contain a brief making-of featurette and interviews with the stars.

While the second installment in the film series remains mysteriously absent, the first and third episodes will be available to own on DVD on September 18th. “Crocodile Dundee” and “Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles” will be priced $24.99 and $29.99 respectively.
